    Fantastic Voyage Remake

ok according to Movieweb more rumors or news ? James Cameron next SCi FI picture is the long awaited remake of this 1966 classic.although he is only serving as Producer at the moment but who knows maybe as Director by the time its officially greenlit by Fox Sudios. I love the original film but this is one project that will probably benefit from CGI work as long as they dont go crazy.its due for a remake I repeat remake not re-imagening.just wanted to share the news its way to early for anything. if you guys have more news post it.

    I thought you meant this.

As long as they don't overdo the CGI I'm all for it. This is a movie worth remaking

I love the classic (even some of my older kids like this), but I don't know how I'd feel about a new one. I think they'd use too much CGI and ruin it.

I am also a fan of the original. I think a remake could be cool even though the original was pretty cool for it's time.

It's one I could see as a remake, just because we have better FX but that also means it could be ruined with CGI, kind of mixed about this.

Neat bit of trivia, the original fantastic voyage was originally intended to be the third "Flint" movie, James Cobourne can be seen in the movies story boards. It was originally going to be real camp.

I always considered Innerspace as a remake of Fantastic Voyage ... and that was enough.

hopefully they cast an actress as gorgeous as Raquel Welch was to play the female lead.

                  Megan Fox anyone?

Me too! A lot of people think Asimov created the concept, he didn't, he just wrote the novel. The whole thing was cooked up by Fox and Saul David, producer of the Flint movies.

Joel Hodgeson (of MST 3K) wrote a draft for the third Austin Powers movie that would have been a remake of Fantastic Voyage, complete with a shrunk Austin fighting Dr Evil's sperm.
