I'm pretty attached to the original movie. I own one of the original posters done by the Hildebrandt Brothers, two awesome classic Fantasy Artists. From the images, this looks like another 300 remake. I'll hold out judgement on the movie till I see it, but the posters are OK compared to the original...
I still don't understand why a hit unique movie needs to be remade ?
The original had fantastic classic special effects --- and that was it's selling point.
In this CGI world, the new movie's effects can only be AT BEST good CGI.
With CGI, there is no great special effects anymore ...
Does that make sense ?
This could be a cool movie...to me it has a RESPONSIBILITY to be anyways
not because of living up to the original and Harryhausen's effects...
...but because of freakin' Zeus, Medusa, Perseus etc etc etc.
----it's the freakin' Gods and other classic myth people and creatures we're talking about here!
And as far as what Mike said about Pereus' hair---it sounds a bit minor...but
I agree---crew cuts don't seem to fit that kind of hero....I thought that even before I read Mike's post...so I had to note I got the same impression.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
