The once thought lost preview cut the 87 MOTU has been restored and released on Blu Ray. It adds about four minutes of missing footage. If you hated the movie, it doesn't fix or save it by any stretch. The starting credits effect are different and most of it is small stuff like a few slightly longer scenes. The best of it is the ending goodbye scene with Julie leaving Eternia has been extended and it is better. No idea why this was cut.
The Blu Ray set also includes the restored theatrical cut as well on a separate disc.
If you like the movie it's definitely worth the upgrade over the previous DVDs and Blu Rays. It looks great.
