    Bill Shatner Looking Good

I hope I look as good as Bill when I’m 74 much less 94.

    Totally!

Over the years, I've read and seen so many things suggesting that, going back to the filming of the original Star Trek TV show in the 1960s, William Shatner maybe did not always comport himself as an ideal human being. I have no idea how much of that is true or false. But I can say this: I was never a big Star Trek fan, and I gave up on Star Trek: Next Generation after the pilot and never watched any subsequent Star Trek TV show (until Strange New Worlds, which I very unexpectedly completely loved). But I always enjoyed any Star Trek TV show or movie that featured Shatner and Nimoy, along with Klingons or Khan.

Went to "An Evening with William Shatner" event last year along with a screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Shatner is spry and as sharp as a tack.

He really does take good care of himself, I’m sure having grandchildren and his dogs and horses are a big plus too, regular exercise and relaxation and less stress, he just enjoys life.

To maybe support the above interpretation, at least in part, when I was in high school in the 80s, I was part of a group of five very close friends. One of my friends was the son of a very minor/benchwarming Los Angeles Laker, who had abandoned his mom (a hippie herself) before he was even born. So my friend was raised by his grandparents. They knew all of us for years, but even then, they had a slightly hard time with us all when we were juniors and seniors in high school, and were acting out. But when we were freshmen in college, this same friend told me that his grandparents had actually thanked him for keeping them young. They were truly lovely, genteel people of a sort that mostly doesn't exist today in my personal experience. They aged about 5-10 years in the first year after he went away to college.
