This weekend at the theater Mickey 17:
Based on the 2022 novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton

The film stars Robert Pattinson in the title role, alongside Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo.
Mickey 17, known as an "expendable," goes on a dangerous journey to colonize an ice planet.
We went in not really knowing anything about the story besides the trailer. We just treat it like our usual movie & dinner date. The movie was longer than I thought 2hrs 17mins long. Lots of dark humor again ( you laughing at the ways Mickey dies).
Warning: There may be some Trumpism in the leader (Mark Ruffalo).
BF & I enjoyed it even though the base story of dealing with colonizing a planet that has been told numerous times, they added just enough new material to make it worth seeing.
