    Star Wars The Acolyte

Disney+ has released the first 2 (of 8) episodes of the new Star Wars series The Acolyte:
    The Acolyte.jpg
The Acolyte is set at the end of the Star Wars franchise's High Republic era, approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999).[ It sees a respected Jedi Master investigating a series of crimes that bring him into contact with a former Padawan learner and reveal sinister forces

I am so glad that the Star Wars universe has moved away from the Skywalker movies. This is why I loved reading the books/audiobooks, to explore outside the movie franchise. Yes, somebody wrote this with Soap Opera plot point but it works in the sci-fi world.

watched the first 2 eps last night. it was enjoyable enough so far. typical modern Disney though, going out of it's way to check off DEI boxes

Seems like some folks like this and others loathe it, but I've enjoyed it so far. As long as I'm entertained, I don't expect anything more out of Star Wars.

Even though we are watching this weekly, after it finishes were going to binge-watch it again. My mind keeps trying to go into research mood during this series instead of just enjoying the series.

Don't get too much of a hurry to watch episode 4, it ends in a cliffhanger.

the show is really not for me. unless something epic occurs in the final episodes this is a one time viewing for me

E5 at least had some action, but this show is sooo predictable

My 16 year old daughter is really digging this, and I am having fun watching it with her. She was glued to her seat and yelling at the TV in the last episode. But in a good way.

Given the state he was left in, unless it's another flashback, he's not going to see ANY action.

no, but it would have been cool to see the battle that left him that way. a wookie jedi was the coolest thing about this show
