The real trouble with the Tribbles

Is that no one found it a bit gross that Kirk got buried in a pile of dead and dying Tribbles.

Thankfully, in the cartoon, he got buried in the "separated" Tribbles that were presumably living.

That was a great episode...DS9 never really got credit for some top notch episodes in my opinion

But they're so cute and cuddly and furry, even the dead ones

DS9 had it's moments, episodes where the Chief had a central role like "Rumors"are usually good ones. oddly The mirror universe episodes of DS9 which should have been good weren't

                You know what's REALLY horrible?
Scotty transports all Tribbles to the Klingon ship.
Where they probably were exterminated like vermin. The Tribbles, not the Klingons, of course.

And what does the crew do?
Have a good laugh about it!

Haha, we delivered a bunch of defenseless animals in the hands of a vicious race of warriors...

I've always wondered about that myself. Scotty says beaming them out into space would be inhuman, but sending them to the Klingons where they were probably in a lot of pain was OK?
                  It's all good!

I'm thinking not all the Tribbles that were transfered to Koloth's ship was killed.
Probably a few stowed away and hid and made it back to Kronos ... where, as Mr Worf said in Trials and Tribbleations, Tribbles became the Klingon's number one enemy by invading Kronos courtesy of Scotty.

Because of that the klingons went on an extermination mission, destroying their home planet and as a result tribbles became extinct for the most part.......that's why Sisko brought them back to the future,so Scotty's mistake could be corrected.
