Anyone has seen this UK series? They're airing it here on Sci Fi Channel starting next week. The trailer looks good, but is it really worth watching?

It has good parts and bad parts.
I saw series 1.

It's a fun idea (dinosaurs in modern England), but some characters really annoyed me.
The "college student" who keeps messing everything up. Like, they capture a real living flying dino, so what does he do? Let's open a window and let some fresh air in! Who could have thought the thing would escape....

And the girl is only there to show off her curves. She's always "too hot" and walking around in her underwear. Nothing wrong with that, but if that's your only contribution...

All and all, it's OK, but not great. Maybe series 2 will prove me wrong!

They'ved shown all three series on BBC America. I thought Season One was the best, Seasons Two & Three both took major direction changes each that I personally didn't care much for, but I still watched it. Managed to keep my interest. There are major plotholes throughout if you really think about it, but it's a fun ride if you're just in it for the monsters. Which is kinda the whole point. And the chick in her undies.

As a "monster of the week" series it works well, it has all the classic elements: Brainy but action oriented scientist, hot chick in her underwear, annoying nerd that should get eaten but sadly never does, secret government agencies, scheming villain...and of course, big monsters.

There's a really good back story in this which cries out for a serious series to be done but unfortunatly this is not it. If you accept it for what it is, a tea time teenagers show, then it quite enjoyable.

I really liked the show. I think it went off the air though. I also was just starting to get into "Being Human", another BBC monster show, when that got yanked.

It's not bad; but the first season is DEFINITELY the best. They sorta pretty everything up as it goes along and it starts looking like everything else by the third season.

I liked all the way thru season 3. Yeah They're plenty of changes that happen but the it held my attention. but it did get cancelled.

They recently announced a Series Four in Summer 2011, guess we'll see that here in the states the following year.

OMG!
This is awesome news.

I loved this series.
I got interested when SciFi started showing it on Fridays last spring.
Then watched the rest of it online.
Was so bummed at the cliffhanger, and knowing it had been canceled.

Yeah, you can't think about things like logic and such when you watch it. But it is a fun show, and I like the characters.
And there is nothing wrong iwth having a hot chick running around in minimal clothing. (though that was mainly the first few eps of season 1)

If the nerd were to be eaten, several things would happen:

1. Whatever ate him would die of food poisoning, and does the monster in question really deserve that?

2. The hot chick in her underwear would have no one to disdain in public or show her questionable taste in underwear to.

3. We, the audience would have no one to pick on. After all, the reason we kept tuning in to Family Matters was purely to see what kind of idiocy Urkel would pull off next, just so we could berate the character at the water cooler the next day.

Just saw the first episode and I must say I'm disappointed. You all got my hopes up, but no scantily clad woman in the first episode.
Seriously tho, I thought it was pretty cool, it has great potential, obviously - since the show has been cancelled already - they didn't quite live up to that potential, but I'm eagerly looking forward to next week... when there'll hopefully be women in their underwear this time

Series 1 is ok,i liked series 2 better,i think the ladies in the undewear bit is in the 2nd series if i can remember rightly

Underwear is only in season 1 episodes 2 and 3, i think. i am so thrilled it is coming back for 2 more seasons, even if they are short ones. i just hope they properly wrap it up when they are done.

Now, as with The Phantom Menace, don't get your hopes (or anything else) up too much...
