    Remember Otherworld?

Taking a page from Mike's lost shows threads I thought I would throw one out there I actually liked...Otherworld. It aired briefly in 85 or maybe 86 and was about a family that found themselves on an alternate Earth. The show reminded me a bit of Incredible Journey, and a lot of Star Lost.In fact, I still feel Sliders was a slightly more successful attempt at reworking the Otherworld premise!!

Each week the family would cross into a new territory, always different from the last. Sometimes things were only slightly askew from our world, and in others they were way out of the normal.

I haven't seen the show since it originally aired, and to be honest, the thing I remember most is the episode Mark Lenard guest starred in...but I did like the show when it aired, and found myself missing the show when it was canned.

I watched it a couple of times, but they kept yanking it around in the timeslot, and people eventually lost interest.

They did something similar with Wolf Lake. That was the year of 9/11, and every week, it was pre-empted for some lame award program.

It of course, didn't last, and got yanked after I think 13 episodes.

It was a fun show, typical of that time period, try to be sci-fi but be able to film it now without too many affects. the Girl Jonna Lee was gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was'nt the main plot point connected to the belief that places like the Bermuda triangle where gateways to other dimensions

You're thinking of "Fantastic Journey" which was far better than Otherworld.

I watched every episode of this series and it's a pretty weird mishmash of ideas but in the end it's just "The Fugitive", the family moves from Zone to Zone all the while being chased.

The best thing for me (other than the awful Rock and Roll episode) was that the car from Logan's Run got used.
