I think it only lasted one season (I think)
When the show came out I was all excited because it was made by Gerry Anderson ... Problem is, they played it at 1:00AM in my area (lousy time-slot)
I watched the first 4-6 episodes and got bored with it after that.Comment

I have never been all that impressed with Anderson productions post Sylvia, I found this show looked dated when it first aired. I kind of liked the toys though, don't know why.
The original pilot was made in the 1980s and starred Shane Rimmer, it took forever to get sold, here are some clips:

I remember this show.....it was on in the wee hours of the morning here on the east coast, as Mike said. I thought the aliens and effects were cheesy and could not get into it. Don't remember there being toys thoughComment

He had a 12" Brogin (I think that was his name)
and a series of small figures (like Star Wars size)Comment

Hmmmm....
I really hated all the sci-fi shows of the 90's. This one bugged me 'cos they combined the cop show, with space opera and ended up with the BAD parts of both. It felt like a typical cop drama with funny looking cops.
Although some of the designs LOOKED neat, it didn't make up for the show itself.

it was on par with the other "we're not Star trek" direct to syndication sci fi in the 90's (Mutant x, earth final conflict, and andromeda come to mind) I was never a babylon 5 fan but most people thought that was brilliant so I won't lump it in with these lower budget showsComment

I posted about this show a while ago.....a lot of people remembered it but the consensus was it wasn't quite right....to dated...if it had more time it probably would have gotten better."Thats the ticket laddie"Comment

Gerry Anderson's name is actually worth more then the man himself. I think it's because Gerry is more of a producer then a creative element.
Sylvia, on the other hand had a hands on approach.
When you see Anderson stuff pre Season-2 of Space 1999 you are seeing mostly Sylvia's vision.Comment
