They both seem like something an amateur would make in photoshop

Either way, BOTH are better then the McCoy logo so at least that's a plus

I haven't been fussy on the Logo (or the opening) for 25 years, so this doesn't really bug me at all.

On the plus side, I like the over-under letter style.
Not counting the '96 movie and very stylized neon logo's, we haven't seen a good clean over-under since the older Pertwee years.

On the down side, i'm not crazy about this logo's fonts and especially the light-shine behind ... The light-shine is what really makes it look like a cheap photoshop job.

        The DW TARDIS .....
To me, that seems more like a logo that would be on a Doctor Who Saturday morning cartoon.

I am a little fussy about the openings and logos because to me (looking at the classic series) it seems like as the show progresses and get's WORSE so do the logos and openings ...

For me the last great logo and opening was Tom Baker's first.

Logo is the least important part of the show for me. I have liked that the early Pertwee era logo has become the logo of the classic dvd relasese

I always thought the time tunnel logo for the 1st part of the Tom years was the best as an icon (my mom painted a massive one on the bedroom wall she said it took 5 coats of white to cover later)

I'm pretty much of the same mind, been revisiting the Davison years and the intro really bugs me, way too dated now.

Logo is the least important part of the show for me.
Agreed, it's just the only news we got!

For me the WORST logo and opening was McCoy's

I always hated just about everything about it.

The font's were horrible and unDoctor Who like ...

The opening sequence had lousy music and even cut out the beginning "dum, dum, dum, dum, dum, dum"

The video looked like current video game graphis.

The only saving grace of the McCoy opening was his wink.
I know a lot of people HATE the wink, but I like it.

                Boring logo.

I've just seen this; I think it looks great! It looks like it's got an old fashioned feel about it, but still looks fresh. Looking forward to seeing the re-designed interior of the Tardis and the new opening sequence (and hearing the revamped theme) now.

I've just seen a list of the writers they have lined up for the new series by the way; one of the episodes is going to be written by Neil Gaimen. I think we're in for a real treat come 2010.

I still kind of like the Sci-Fi Channel American TV logo better.

Looks like the Doctor is peeing on his own logo

something about the new logo has been knawing at me since I saw it, a sense of dejau vu. I will need to comb over my DVD extra's but I think there is a clip of a similiar logo (designed by JNT) for a rebroadcast season intro he shot in a "couch format" interview show.

                        Meh.

I don't care so much; I just want to see the shows! The new logo looks like one of them franchaise symbols the Japanese use on their products to show authenticity.

I kinda like the new logo. The tardis is such an important part of the legend, I think it's cool it's incorporated in the logo
