I enjoy the first film but haven't any interest in anything further when it comes to the character. I have friends who think otherwise however.

Predator is a classic. In my mind, there is nothing they can add to the original to make it better. Part of what made that movie work so well was the unique casting choices and you can't duplicate that again. Jeez... is Hollywood desperate or what?

I am going to admit I am intrigued , but also wondering why ?????? Just leave the Classics alone. Stop muddying the waters with sub par remakes. Although I seem interested in the New Nightmare On Elm Street aftwer seeing that trailer yesterday.

If they want to do something with Predator they should go back and alter the stupid ending of the original when Ar-nold survives a nuclear explosion. Everyone should have died, Arnie thought he had won but the Predator had one last trick up his sleeve, BOOM, roll credits.

Remaking this is the ULTIMATE symbol of "we give up." SERIOUSLY! WHY REMKE THE ORIGINAL except for the chance to say "we've remade the original?" Predator movies are like slasher flicks; there's no end to how many you can make 'cos they're such a basic formula:

-intro characters
-monster shows up
-they fight
-one person impresses the Predators with their chutzpah
-Predators leave

As long as you can come up with interesting people for the monsters to kill you got a film.

avp was enough predator's for me. the first is a great sci fi action flick melding but the sequel (and all it's knock offs) were really bad

Yeah I actually like AVP as well the last one sucked though

Yeah I'm the same way.....It could be Predator vs the Goonies and I'll sit there and watch it...... Damn I know there's a Hollywood producer who just read this and is going Hmmmmm there's possibilities there....

The Arnie 87 one is still the Best..., I personally really like the Glover one too,.. but not as much. The last 2 vs Aliens could have been so much better,.. however I still like the Ideas.

The first Predator was all about who he went up against. A bunch of tough guys... Jessie Ventura, Carl Weathers, Arnie.

No offense to Danny Glover, who is a wonderful actor, but... in Predator 2, he was just too old for that ********.

Predator needs to be taking on a cast full of folks like Vinnie Jones, Jason Statham, The Rock, Jet Li, Lucy Lawless, heck even bring Chuck Norris out to fight him.

I think properly any Predator movie is. The Predators are nifty, but they're stock monsters with guns; so there's not too much you can do there that won't seem kinda contrived. (The whole "you fight with honour" thing bothers me for just that reason.)

Y'know.... I kinda think the opposite. Having them fight MORE tough guys would be just like tons of other films. I think to make a really cool flick they'd have to find someone weird and different fro them to fight. What about a Predator who inadvetetly picks the country's biggest (secret) psycho killer? Or maybe they end up somewhere a robbery or office shooting is happeneing and end up being the GOOD guys; inadvertantly hunting the real villain. If you wanted to put the humans at a REAL disadvantage, have the Predators attack someone that only LOOKS dangerous; like an action film crew, or Civil war re-enactors....

Both AvP movies sucked big time. Going to the Predators home planet might be cool.
Predator 1 will always be thee classic to me, Arnie at his best.
