First movie I ever rented, it looked terrific, it had a laser gun, cool stop motion aliens, how could I go wrong?

It was my first lesson in "Renter's remorse", do yourself a favour and get the MST 3K version, it's one of the best episodes.

It's made by Charles Band, the same guy who brought you "Doll Man" and "Puppet Master", so it's passable b grade entertainment don't get me wrong, I was just expecting more when I was 11.

The MST3K version is really funny.

The MST3K version is very entertaining, but it also makes me realize that I really wouldn't want to sit through the actual, unaltered film itself.

"Let's see what OTHER movies he gave 2 and a half stars to...."

Once I get caught up on some stuff I was gonna make a Mego scaled version of the gun.

Hey, this movie had a really low budget, and I think they did a lot with it. Effects, stop-motion animation.
I give it extra points for effort!
They can't all be Star Wars....

As a matter of fact, I'm going to buy a copy. It's been ages since I've seen it.

I'm gonna join the "get the MST3K version" crowd on this one. You get all the neat bits of the movie, like the weird guna d aliens... without all that, you know.... MOVIE gettin' in the way. Plus, it's one of the funnier MST episodes.

                    I loved laserblast!!!
But then I was only like 5 or six at the time.
It is seriously low budget b movie stuff.
That being said it's okay for what it was meant to be.
I still enjoy it but it is low,low,low...Worth $5 in a discount bin heck I might even pay $7
                    but I really don't think I would pay $10.

Agreed. I just watched the MST3K version 2 nights ago and laughed like a freaking idiot. Maybe that's because I am a freaking idiot, but the episode was hilarious nonetheless.

I loved the translations of the alien language.
