Actually; each Doctor's run has it's own feel. The early Tom Baker ones are very horror-show: all dark and creepy.
I'm wishing there were more surviving episodes with the second guy. The one's I've seen of his were all pretty good.

actually I've watched the recons of the lost stories most are pretty slow and most are god awful bad.
Evil of the Daleks was a winner so was web of fear.
the missing cybermen stories aren't anything new if you've seen 10th planet
