    Vampires in Sci Fi televison

Was just watching Doctor Who State of Decay the other night when it hit me ... most sci fi shows MUST have a vampire episode ... perhaps it's a right of passage

Let's see ho many we can name ....

    1. Doctor Who - State of Decay

    2. Star Trek - The Man Trap (the salt "vampire")

    3. Buck Rogers - Space Vampie

    any more ?

The Wraiths on Stargate Atlantis were pretty darn vampire-y.

Kolchak started off with Janos Skorzeny, the Night Stalker...later he fought a lady vamp who was a victim of Skorzeny.

Anyone remember the Fox show Werewolf from the early '80s?
Chuck Conners (the Rifleman) played the main villain-an evil werewolf named...Janos Skorzeny!

Now you did it! I had to break out my Kolchak DVD's and watch that episode, which was probably my favorite. However, I never put 2 and 2 together and realized that the girl was a victim of the vampire from one of the pilot episodes. Thanks for pointing that out.

I can't believe I forgot about Kolchak. One of my favorite shows and another one my grandmother turned me on to.

                      Hmmmm....

There are about 10 episodes that EVERY show does. The Vampire episode is one.

It's usually just a Halloween episode, like Cat's Paw on Star Trek.
Although, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea had TWO werewolf
                          episodes!

I am pretty sure B5 had one as well

the Buck Rogers episode is classic cheese.
