That's an interesting cartoon. Definitely a one-of-a-kind feature and respectful to the movies and television series. I picked up the boxset on DVD whn it came out. Dirt cheap too!

I caught bits and pieces of the Apes toon when it was first shown. It wasn't until the 80's that I began to really see them early Saturday Mornings on WPIX. On all but one episode, they would omit the opening and closing credits but they were otherwise complete.

I recorded them in EP on VHS and had always hoped for a DVD release.

I've always found these difficult to watch, and I'm a big Apes fan. I just get bored and distracted.

IMO, the Trek cartoon is far superior, and I'm not even a big Trek fan.
