Official NIGHT OF THE COMET thread

We sometimes talk about Night of the Comet, but we never had an offical NOTC thread

    So,
What do you guy think about NOTC ?

For me, it's always been a guilty pleasure movie.
It's the kind of movie (at the time) you secretly like but would never admit it to anyone

I admitted it to everyone 'cos it's actually a really good movie. The plot holds up, the characters are unusual choices for a horror flick but make sense, and for a no budget production they did a decent job of things. Plus, it's funny. And Willie is the greatest character EVER! (Even though he's only in the film for ten minutes or so.)

I bought this movie on DVD the week it became available. I didn't remember until I watched it that Robert "Chakotay" Beltran was one of the stars. I think it still holds up pretty well, especially for an 80's sci-fi/horror comedy

I love this movie, and I have compared various social settings to plot devices from it way, waaaay too often.

I always liked Catherine Mary Stewart, and Kelli Maroney. They were hot. But then I was in 8th grade, and every girl actress was hot, pretty much.

What's not to love? It's like Red Dawn crossed with Night of the Living Dead.

It's the movie for everyone who ever wanted Zombies to show up in a John Hughes movie to snack on Judd Nelson and Anthony Michael Hall!

"Daddy would have gotten us Uzi's!" - Samantha. Great dialog, great concept and lots of fun! I found the DVD at Walmart for $5.00 a couple of years ago and can watch it over and over.
