The whole picture has a 60s vibe.
I'm actually surprised that the Doctor isn't dressed like an EMO kid goth, pleasantly surprised...Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

After the JNT years as long as I don't see question marks on any of his clothes, that's a big huge plus right there
As far as the 50's geek look ... It's interesting and it's never been done to date in a DW suit.
I'm not happy about the actor himself (I still thinks he's too young and weird looking) ... But I am liking everything about that picture so far.Comment

He could have been dressed in a black t-shirt with a question mark made out of skulls, jawa pants, and puffy marshmallow tennis shoes.
That would have been lovely.
Perhaps it was the Doctors time spent as the 800 year old Yoda Doctor from series 3 that made this regeneration want to feel a little younger. I like the look and am excited to see a new interpretation of the character. As with any regen, the actor has some big shoes to fill. (several pairs really)Comment

As good as it sounds; I'll believe it when I see it though. There is also a rumour that Matt Smiths Doctor is in fact a younger 1st Doctor and the series will be reset. Again, very interesting but I doubt it is true.Comment

The BBC website is offcially calling Smith the 11th Doctor, so I don't believe the Hartnell rumors at all.
I just think Moffet (like all other DW producers) is trying to differentiate his Doctor
from previous versions .....
Adapting some 60's forumla's might be his way of breaking away from the JNT/RTD versions.Comment
