    Good news ...

I always liked this trilogy -- especial Terminus which can stand on it's own as a good story.

I think the weekest of the lot was Enlightenment.
It was kind of a letdown after the big build-up.

If I have anything bad to say about this release it's -- BLAHHH, ANOTHER DAVISON RELEASE X THREE ...

      with you Mike,
they seem to be padding the budget with lower cost resoration dvd's from the later years I only hope this means we will see a big flux of Pertwee and season 2 tom bakers like Android Invasion

The biggest problem with the restoration team is they're morphing into something that they originally weren't...

They used to exist to get old Dr Who's presentable for TV stations to air and for VHS and DVD releases.

Now, they take their sweet time tinkering with a lot of stuff that shouldn't be touched or don't need to be touched ... I don't need every bit of dirt painted out of every scene.
This backs up all the new releases for years.

They're goal used to be trying to get classic episodes back to their original broadcast quality.
        Today that goal isn't enough.

I would be very happy to give up new computer graphics, sound and video tinkering in order to get more product in my hands right now.

The rate they're releasing these, ORIGINAL Doctor Who fans are going to start dying off before the DVD's are released ...

Over the past few years the restoration team has become their own (and our) worst enemy.

I agree about the "improved" shots and effects and even with restored edits. It's one thing to clean up the film dirt etc but I think they are foolish to take try and make a 30-50 year old shjow recorded on Video tape VHS and try to make it "paletable" to the BLUE RAY HD obsessed people. That just highlights the production flaws in the show. A shaky set is masked on a 20 inch versus a 60 in HD plasma it's glaring

lets get the shows out (especially ones that only got WHOVIE releases on VHS)

The restoration team did a restoration for the cancelled bbc 2000 rebroadcast of Terror of the Zygons and Revenge of the Cybermen and yet we still haven't seen these on DVD but Delta and the bannermen (a shot on digi video in the late 80's) we get

Or they re-do something that's already been done. I'm looking at you Key to Time series.

The Key To Time series was a strange release. I have no idea who came up with the idea to release an entire season of bare-bones Dr Who DVD's only in America and leave UK people out in the cold for a few years.
              That was just totally asinine.

By the time it finally was released in the UK, enough time had passed that Key To Time was given the full treatment for it's precious British audience -- But it was too late ... many Brits already had copies of the American release (thanks to people like me)
