You know, I was just old enough when ROTJ came out to actually think to myself, "Gawd, I'd love to sit behind her on a Speeder Bike!". Forget the Slave Girl get-up. The thought of sitting behind a cute tushy and wrapping my arms around a tiny waist was far more appealing. That's when Leah became sexy to me. (I was 8 and 11 when the first two movies were in theaters. Being 14 was when she truly became sexy.)

Oh, I agree with you....I just thought the description could apply to both actors......throughout the series.

I would not for one second argue for Carrie Fisher's acting ability, though. (Think about the somewhat attempt at a British Accent for one-half on Episode IV then a sudden change to regular chick accent.) But, she looked danged good throughout the series........did she not?

Oh, I'm not saying Fisher is a great thespian or anything...but her Leia character was so much more fun than Amidala/Padame's.

Like I said...I'm not hating on Portman's looks...just her wooden character which turns me off.

Watch The Phantom Menace again...Portman was horrid...by FAR the worst acting of her career.

She's still not bad.

The only thing I don't like about her now is her raspy voice...thanks to a lifetime of smoking....just like Kathleen Turner.

Carrie Fisher was super cute in her prime...really hot in my opinion. Plus her character was witty and daring.

Portman is pretty...but her Star Wars character is soooooooooo lame...I'm sorry...but I could care less about Amidala/Padame.
