I'm a bit of a fan of Jeunet & Caro's films; like City of Lost Children , it had great production design, but love Delicatessen, which is in my Favorite Top Ten Flicks.

Dominique Pinon (great face!) is to Jeunet's movies what Johnny Depp is to Tim Burton's.

Another recommended Gallic film (also Top Ten) is Brotherhood of the Wolf. An action period-piece with intrigue, a monster, and martial arts.
