I saw this today in the film section on my homesite:
" A new movie version of Doctor Who is currently being developed, according to the BBC.
According to Empire Online, the plans for the big screen venture are contained within a BBC story on their new CBBC spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures, which is to feature an appearance from David Tennant's Doctor.
The actor will soon be replaced in the iconic role by newcomer Matt Smith - but has not completely ended his involvement with the franchise.
The BBC story reveals that a script is "in development" for a possible Dr Who movie, which may well see Tennant reprising his role yet again. If so, the big screen adventure would mark the doctor's first cinematic outing since Peter Cushing's Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 AD in 1966. "
A bit of a kick in the teeth to the fans?
