Smallville Season 8 Finale *Spoilers*

This one feels a little cluttered and a bit of a let down compared to the past season finales. Nice to see all the guest stars, but most of them seemed unnecessary and detracted away from many of the already heavy handed story elements.

They have had Zod in the sidelines for so long, so it will be interesting to see how this plays through as the season 9 Big Bad. Let's hope streamlining the cast of characters allows for more focused storytelling.

Boy were those Doomsday SFX awful. You can't keep him hidden and tease him for the entire season only to reveal something that Rubber looking.

Jimmy did have a nice death, and a genuine surprise since we thought his character was untouchable.

I posted a rant over in the comic book forum, but I agree. I thought Doomsday looked okay for a TV budget, but boy was he used poorly.

I think this is the worst season ender they've ever done.

I forgot about the Zod thing at the end. How many times are they going to do the Zod thing? Will this be the actual Zod this time?
I wonder if next season is the last?

I'm wondering if Sam (Davis Bloome) Witwitter will be back next season, but as Zod, not Davis. Davis is the son of Zod and Faora on Smallville, so it would make sense. And it kind of looked like him in that final shot.

But again, I'm not sure I care anymore.
