I think it's one of the most unique action films of the 80s out there.

The fact that a good bit of the film takes place "inside a body" is cool.

The characters of the uber-pain tolerant COWBOY and IVO, the guy with the
    interchangable hands, are pretty cool....bizarre.

Obviously it's an "action/comedy" heavy on the comedy.

It may even be coined an "action/romantic comedy" as the love triangle
between Quaid/Ryan/Short is a big part of the plot.

It's not one of my MOST favorites...but I'd certainly recommend it---
especially to all the parents on this board who are looking to watch
a fun flick with their kids---it's kid appropriate even WITH the implied
sex scene between the main female villain Dr. and Ivo with his
    "vibrating" appendage

Check it out if you haven't people!

Yes, it's a good one. If you like these kind of movies, there's also Fantastic Voyage. It plays it straight, resulting in that it comes off a little cheesy... But it's got Raquel Welch...

        I liked Innerspace a lot.
Dennis Quaid was for a long time my favourite actor, but his career kind of went downhill.
Tons of cameos in this one (all SF favourites), exciting and funny....

I haven't seen it for a long time, but from what I remember, I liked it! Funny movie!
