    Starship NCC-1701 retail replica question

I have a question that's been bugging me for over 10 years now.

Well over 10 years ago, at my local mall video store they had a Star Trek USS Enterprise 1701 metal replica for sale.
It was made of metal and very heavy -- it was solid.
I'm guessing it measured out 12-14 inches long and was completely bronze colour .. It may have been made of bronze.
It stood on a base made of the same material.

It really caught my eye, but I passed on it because it was like $35.00

To this day, I never seen or even heard of another one and really regret not buying it.

Has anyone else ever seen this replica ?

Could it be the Franklin mint model? Most of them were pewter, but there was a bronzed color version released as well.

I'm guessing it was about the same size as the FM one, but I don'
      t think it was FM.

It didn't have the jeweled nacel's.

Perhaps it was a knockoff using the same mould ?

Why don't you ask that guy who is on these boards who wrote that ST book on collectables and writes articles for that ST collectible magazine?

Rethinking about this, I think I made a mistake when I said brass.

It was more darker then brass - like a dark copper colour and was not finished to a high gloss.

Now that I think about it, it probably was bronze --- or made to look bronze
