Oh man, I remember INVASION OF THE SAUCER MEN scaring the hell out of me when I was a kid. I could go with a DVD release of that.

Add me to the list for TIME OF THE APES too.

As far as those Roddenberry pilots go, I'd like to see a deluxe release with all three movies, but that's probably not in the offing. I only remember seeing one of them as a kid.
If anybody's interested, there's somebody posting a lot of these things in parts on youtube.
The channel is Cypress corners, presumably named after the Starlost episodes they also post. I appreciate people posting this stuff, but the reason I started this thread is the frustration I feel that I don't have a home version.
I've owned/seen many of the movies mentioned on VHS, such as Island of Terror.
I mean, there are Hammer movies that have never been released on any home format, such as Vampire Circus!
Last Days of Planet Earth did make it to dvd in some form. Is there an American and Japanese version of that?

I don't know if you ever got there, Palitoy, but there used to be this weird video store/militaria exchange place run by a very unhappy British guy. I found Time of the Apes there, and a lot of other great stuff. He even had the original Nigel Kneale Quatermass serials from British television!

            >it was Lee Majors about a formula racecar driver in a time after gas is gone.
You guys are thinking of "The Last Chase" staring Majors, Meredith and Chris Makepeace. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

-The Last Days of Planet Earth
            -The Green Slime
I have both of these on legitimate VHS, the Green Slime poster is in my living room!

You're not by any means thinking of Vintage Video on Bloor in Mirvish Village are you?

Nope, this place was on the Danforth, near Coxwell station. My gramma lived there so I spent some time there over the years. I believe it was called Video & Military Exchange. Anyhoo, it's gone now, but it had a lot of cool stuff. He actually had some of those video tapes of cartoons by 'Metrovision'? I picked up Thundarr the barbarian there.
I know Vintage Video, though. It's across from the original Suspect. Great stuff, but way too expensive for me. We used to hit it sometimes when we made the rounds, but it got boring when we realized we would never be able to afford anything. I do recall seeing some VHS transfers of PAL copies of the Champions I wanted. And some awesome posters.
Do you remember the comic/toy store near there, I can't remember what it was called.
The guy there was pretty weird too, but he had some cool stuff back in the early '90s.

The one around the corner on Bathurst? Yeah it was still there last check. He was always kind of over priced.

I think remember tell of Video and Military Exchange, may have been there once when I lived downtown (around 90-95). I know John from Vintage Video well, we did some pretty terrible shows together, my friend made those life size hammer monsters in his store.

You just solved about a 30+ year mystery for me!

I remembered nothing about this movie, save watching a movie at my Grandmother's house years ago where a chick with two belly-buttons sent me and my cousins into full scale freak-out mode.

This absolutely had to be it and next time I'm around them, I can answer the mystery (because we all STILL laugh about "that one time at Granny's house").

There were life size hammer monsters there? Man, you'd think I'd recall that. Must be the cheap Sherry. Pure Dry Select is none of those things, I warn you.
Actually, here's a question that includes unavailable movies and our neighborhood.
At the SFX show, which I'm assuming you hit every year as well, what's the deal with those bootlegs at that Suspect booth? Are they worth buying?
Incidently, they start announcing guests on Friday I think.

Oh, I noticed somebody else mentioned The Last Chase w/ Lee Majors.
That Cypress Corners channel also has Firebird 2150 AD w/ Darren McGavin.
I always used to get those two movies mixed up.

                          Don,
You talking about the uncut Japanese TV Series or the cut-together movie dubbed in English. Far as I know the Time of the Apes TV series has not been released yet. The Time of the Apes Cut-together movie on a Factory DVD can be found on ebay from time to time. That were I found mine.

Hey, speaking of Apes and such, did everybody know that the first Blind Dead film was marketed internationally as one of the Ape sequels? Basically, there was a prologue added that made a connection between the Templars and the Apes, or something. It didn't make any sense, naturally. Seriously, it's only a matter of time before we see some zombie ape spin-off, yeah?

Not that anyone would want a DVD (or VHS for that matter, LOL) of this movie but since everyone's talking about long-lost movies does anyone remember a movie called, SLITHIS?
I remember seeing it at a drive-in double-feature in the mid 70's. You know what? I might even still have a flyer SOMEWHERE from that movie. I think it had something to do with a monster caused by toxic waste.

I think I might have seen Slithis. I get it mixed up with other worm movies.
There were worms in that, right? I remember there was a Canadian horror movie with worms, was it called Squirm?
