Then again, watching every episode of Trek could also kill you....

If you are into historical type dramas; I highly recommend the Tudors from Showtime.

Season 1&2 are on DVD and Season 3 just started.

It is well written and gives a good feel for what life must have been like back at that time.

                      Thanks for the recommendations guys.

I really enjoyed the first season of The IT Crowd. Noticed it has some of the actors from Garth Marengi's Dark Place and The Might Boosh in it.

Starting to get into the Wire. Tudors and Deadwood on my list.

Didn't realize the live action Deathnote had come out. Unfortunately I got the dubbed version.

Recently, I've liked The Shield, Dexter, Jekyll, Burn Notice, American Dad, My Name is Earl, Sandbaggers, Smallville, Shaun the Sheep, Pushing Daisies, Wonderfalls, and Californication.
IF you liked the Shield, then you should love Rescue Me.
                        Denis Leary as a fireman.
Just as serious and adult as the Shield, but funnier, sexier, and not as gruesome.
Season 5 just started a couple weeks ago.

Some older stuff that should be seen if you haven't caught them yet.
                        Buffy, Angel, and Babylon 5.

You are right about that!!! The show really brings the characters to life. I always assumed Henry VIII to be some big fat slob but apparently that happened after he had the jousting accident which pretty much prevented him from doing much physical activity. Supposedly he was quite the ladies' man even if he hadn't been king....although I'm sure that didn't hurt.

You've always can watch [adult swim] on Friday nights. I watch it then just for The Venture Brothers and Clerks animated series.
