If YOU were cast as the new Doctor Who, how would you play him ?

The new Doctor Who has just been cast .......
The new Doctor will be played by YOU.

The BBC has a history of letting Doctor Who actors portray the Doctor as they want to (for the most part).

How would you portray the new Doctor ?

I think I would be most like Hartnell with a touch of Colin.

I would be kind of mean, grumpy and never afraid to outshine everyone around me.
I must be the centre of attention.

My "suit" would be the white Saturday Night Night Fever Travola dance suit

    What about you ?

I'd play it like Colin with a touch of Troughton thrown in.

Colin's Doctor wasn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty and kill when it was necessary ( attack of the Cybermen ), not like the others. They just got angry at the villains but did nothing to stop them themselves.
Actually, i could see Hartnell's Doctor getting dirty too and taking a few enemies out.

        Hmmmm....

If I was the Doctor....? With my mug I 'aint gonna pull off the "lovable scamp" thing. I'd go for a cross between Dr. Praetorious (from "Bride of Frankenstein") and the Shropshire Slasher.

This could get tiresome for an audience, but I would want to have fun, so I would have it that my regeneration didn't happen all so well and I would then become a split personality. Each episode I would be dressed and have the mannerisms of a previous Doctor. Maybe even have it that for an entire ep that I would be acting like, for example, Tom Baker and be stuck for an answer and then as the solution to a mystery unfolds switch over to Troughton and solve the problem, etc.
          It's all good!

I would be a very sarcastic Doctor. never afraid to make others feel foolish. attire - Jon pertwee is my favorite and I loved that Mcgann adopted a similar look, but thanks to mike myers that look has become too comic. I would think a toned down tom baker - or a 70's professor - camel sport coat with the elbow patches, turtleneck, borwn cords, and gum soled boots (we called em deasert boots but post iraq wars that term has a whole new meaning)

Perfect. I'd love to see that. Have him Jekyll and Hyde between incarnations, at least for a few episodes. Maybe even....The Evil Doctor?

I would never, ever kiss another companion.
Man, I've had it with that. He did it again in the recent special.
Soon he'll be French kissing a Cyberman. (and the Cyberman going "delete" delete")

I'd play the Doctor with more eccentricity. An older Doctor. Odd clothing. A combination of McCoy and Troughton.

I'd let David Tennant morph into Matt Smith, and halfway through the episode, he'd change back, saying "that was a mistake. I'm BACK!"

Heck, I just have trouble with the new kid....

Because Tennant used some of his regeneration energy already, technically his next real regeneration should be an old man (half worn out -etc) ... But, i'm sure the last thing on the producers minds is having something logical happen.
