The only downside to having Jon Pertwee as your first celebrity encounter was it became a standard in which few others have ever measured up to.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

He truly did, when I was fifteen and at my first con, he wandered into the show suite sat down next to me and said "what are we watching?"

I met Jon in 81 or 82 he was the nicest guy, same thing it wasn't a formal signing line he was mingling with the crowd posing for photos with kids (like me in my psuedo UNIT uniform). he slways showed up "in costume" for Dr who conventions. Wish I still had my copy of Moon boots and Dinner suitsComment

He is the only Doctor that I remember and think of when asked about Doctor who....As Awesome as he was , how about the smile on that kids face!!! And He (Jon) was all about making it a great experience for him......WHEREVER YOU ARE IS WHERE YOU ARE AT

Sadly, I never got the chance to meet him.
From everything I've heard, he was a great human being to be around.
I loved him as the Doctor, even though Tom Baker was the one that I fell in love with first, (I was fourteen at the time, I can be forgiven).
I liked his chemistry with Elisabeth Sladen better than Tom's.JediJaidaComment
