Can you believe they ended it like that? Did you guys expect Cara to be who she was?? do you think Lee followed through with his promise at the end??

I'm going to wait until tomorrow to go into details on my thoughts about this. Just don't want to spoil anything for anyone.

        Amazing series finale.

Seen it...and I'm so happy how it ended...pretty trippy stuff.

I'll also discuss it tomorrow...I now gotta go to sleep, lol.

She was an agent of a higher power, like the six and Baltar I guess. For the most part, I found the ending to be strong and satisfying.

Loved seeing the classic cylons again and using the theme at the end was very nice.

I LOVED the ending! I like how the Cheif went to England/Ireland to be alone. I knew the English were part Cylon! Look at Boy George!

Still trying to figure out how they were able to do a blood test on Starbuck if she doesn't exist. Thing that bugged me the most was having the Raptors around. 150,000 years and not a trace of one has shown up? What would have made more sense would be to have them find a little island off in the middle of nowhere and try to stay out of the way(kind of like the Chief planned) and call that place Atlantis.

They said Highlands - so I'm thinking Scotland.

Angle - I was kind of thinking that as well. I still have it on my hard dive so I may watch it again. to see if I pick up any more on her.

Liked the producer reading the mag at the end.

Ok so if anyone who hasn't watched it yet is reading this thread they deserve to have it spoiled.

I actually saw this thread posted last night while I was taping it and thought txteach had caught an east coast feed or something. haha, so I avoided it until today.
I thought it was great. I am so glad they did find Earth and I was right...the first Earth wasn't our Earth after all. It all still fits together. They were doomed to repeat their past mistakes over and over.
I guess the prophecy wasn't 100% accurate as the "dying leader" did survive to see them reach the promised land. I didn't realize they had been so far in the past though: 150,000 years!
I was expecting to see them start building the pyramids or something, LOL.
I like jwybleirs idea of them founding Atlantis as well. (That would've been cool too but that's going to be the revealed secret of LOST so they can't use that. LOL, JK, I have no idea where LOST will end up.)
Whether the Atlantis mention was a conscious reference or not; it is interesting to note the original opening narration from the original series:

"There are those who believe that life here began out there, far across the universe, with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians, or the Toltecs, or the Mayans. They may have been the architects of the great pyramids, or the lost civilizations of Lemuria or Atlantis. Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man who even now fight to survive far, far away, amongst the stars."

So Kara was an angel since disappearing in her Viper? She just didn't know it. I don't see the problem with the blood test. I assumed he used existing data or stored supplies to match the dogtag sample. Even if he did draw blood from the angel Kara, why wouldn't she be identical? If she was an angel then her creator certainly would have no problem re-creating her.
So the Six & Baltar were also angels but only appeared to their respective charges all this time? Interesting.
Ok, I'll admit it.. a few tears welled up at some parts but it was a great finale and I was so ready to be disappointed and/or still left with lingering questions.
I was almost hoping to see one of the robots they showed at the end have a red 'eye' scan across it's face!
I would assume they did something to destroy the Raptors, etc that they didn't fly into the sun, plus Earth is a HUGE planet so who's to say that even if they did just bury them or blow them up that the pieces couldn't still just be undiscovered?
The only parts I didn't care for were the flashbacks to Caprica. They seemed to distract from what was going on rather than complement them.
                        Old-school Cylon Centurions!!!! COOL!!
Galen giving that beyotch who killed Callie her just rewards! COOL!
The theme from the original BSG playing while the fleet went into the sun. COOL!!
Once again, thanks to the producers for coming through and ending the series as promised. I only wish the original could've had the same reward. They're still out there....somewhere...a ragtag, fugitive fleet, on a lonely quest—for a shining planet known as Earth! (No, Galactica 1980 doesn't count!)
I think I may watch it once more as well.

A great ending. Fantastic writing . Had no idea how they were going to wrap this up. And it ended up so obvious.

"They may have been ancestors of the Egyptians,Taltecs or the Myans"So true it seems.

The "Imaginary" Six and Baltar as angels. Starbuck ressurected as an agent of light. Nice nod the the Ship of lights deal from the old series. It really tied in with the new shows religious theme.

Loved the end with the angels amoungst us and talking about everything starting over.

I figured the chief went to Iceland or Greenland.

I also figured after they got settled the auto piloted the Raptors out into space.

Hmmmmmm THe "Good" robotic cylons took off to make their own future? Maybe ther was more to them then meets the eye?
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
                          Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.
