I was watching this film last night and I think it gets a bad rap.Frank Langella was brilliant as Skeletor he played it straight nothing campy Dolph was ok and the production value was really good the Canon film Group only had 15- 17 million to make it which in those days was low-budget a film like that would cost around 50 million the ending was a little cheese of course and setting the storie on earth was budget cost cutting if it was done in Eternai the cost would have skyrocketed and would have never been made and no cgi back then thats was another problem.

I love this movie,I wish they would've had more characters and that they would've looked more like the cartoons. But it was good(Come on... no Battle cat or Orko?)"Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

It's okay, but it's no Beastmaster!
Dolph was a better He-Man than Punisher.Comment

It was a great adaptation of Jack Kirby's New Gods. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

The best part of the movie is Frank Langella as Skeletor (seriously, he was awesome) and Meg Foster as Evil Lyn. Dolph was actually pretty good as He-Man too. Most of the costume designs were pretty cool. The script was really bad though and I HATED the redesign of Sorceress.
I remember being really disappointed as a kid that Mattel never made movie versions of He-Man and Skeletor. Heck, still am.
Still have my official poster magazine from the movie. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

It's an alright movie, I saw it in the theatre with some friends as a goof. I thought most of the character designs looked good, remember thinking Teela was hot (I was 17 at the time) and Skeletor was well done.
Just really didn't like the "let's all go to earth" plot.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions
