This is a movie that I swore i'd HATE .... until I seen it

It did rip off the Starbuck/Cylon episode of Battlestar -- but I don't mind.

It was a good entertaining movie.

I forgot who the bad guy's name is but he is ALWAYS bad in every single thing he ever plays in

The director was Wolfgang Peterson which probably explains why it was so good.

I loved that film when I watched it.Owned on VHS and DVD.
Excellent film and the story was pretty basic but it worked....

It was intended as a remake of Robinson Crusoe on Mars (which Starbucks Galactica 80 episode was also a rip off of) but it turned out really well. At the time, I kinda hoped there would be a follow up film or TV series to show what happens after peace has been made...never happen I guess?...although I have heard rumors of a Last Starfighter sequel??!!

... Being so young when I 1st saw the film,.. I believe my Dad took me to the theater for the flick too,.. I didn't realize until recently,.. that , that character was portrayed by him.

I liked the Movie. Good stuff.
