    Character Options Cybermen figures

I finally received my set of Cybermen today and they are great, especially the 3 classics and Tomb controller BAF.

I wish Character would have done Wheel, Revenge and Earth shock versions as well.

I'd better get an order in for those, last week I got my Tom Baker and Peter Davison, after months of waiting.

Do you guys crack these off the cards or keep them MOC ?

One thing I don't like about some of the older Character Options figures (the New Series ones) ... many don't want to stand.
I think some of them actually have one short leg.
I know my Cyberman and Rose (New Earth) does.

Are the classic figures made a little better ?

My cards are long gone, the figures stand ok so far. I only bought a couple to begin with but just bought several more.

My figures stand all day on my desk at work. The cleaning lady keeps knocking them down overnight but she'll get hers....

Mike, I think the figures may be sculpted in a slight pose rather than at stiff attention. I pose them by getting the feet flat on the desk then adjust the body/torso to a reasonable posture. I have been saving the paper inserts like in the Age of Steel sets and that small cardboard insert that ID's the characters.

I take mine off the cards and like John keep the small card insert with the name.
            The figures are slightly posed.

I just bought the Age of Steel set and the Sea Devil. I actually kind of hate this toy line, it's making me purchase it, I have no choice...

The few things I love about Character Options ..

                1. Sculpts are KILLER for such a small figure.

                2. Articulation isn't great, but it's good enough

                3. They seem to being going crazy making a lot of DIFFERENT characters.

                4. Price actually isn't that bad .. If they were sold in America on store shelves it would be cheaper for us US consumers

                5. The figures aren't "stylized" ... no tiny heads and giant bodies -- no females with mutant-size boobs etc.

I agree the sculpts are superb, especially for the size.

The articulation varies depending on the character.
Some figures have neck, shoulder, bicep, elbow, wrist, waist, hip, knee and ankle articulation.

I can't wait to get a Peter Davison..!! Been formulating custom ideas, along the 9" scale for years, but never had enough 'umph' to actually finish one, to stand along side my Denys Tom Baker.

Pretty much have to agree with everything here, I'm very good at talking myself out of toys, either I don't like the sculpts or the articulation ruins the figure but the look of these figures combined with a life long love of Doctor Who is lethal.

The Tom Baker figure most impressed me, giving me a hatless option was impressive.

My Cybermen are on the way. Yay!!!!!
Even though I had hoped for bigger scale figures (8 to 12 inch), these are pretty cool.
                        The face sculpts are excellent!
I briefly considered keeping them MOC, but then I would miss out on the Giant Robot or the Cyber Controller. So out with the cards!
I am, however, considering building a Cyberman "freezing chamber", to put them all in. I know, they're Cyberman from different eras, but so what.....

                            Hard to describe ...

Mutant boobs are ok, but they tend to cheapen the line ...

I don't want figures that are geared toward a 15 year old kid with overactive hormones.

I want figures made for an adult collector that mimic real life as much as possible.
