Zienia Merton wasn't even on contract to do YR2.. She just got paid episode-by-episode, same as the other oriental comms officer Yasko, who was actually YR2 director Ray Austin's wife. Later replaced by the black female character Alibe for the final episodes.

I am intrigued. I had picked up a bunch of the first season because I remembered it as a kid. It was still watchable. In fact my 7 yr old hs been asking if we can watch it. I don't remember the second season episodes at all although watching them may jog the memory. I just picked up a few sets from season 2 on evilbay.
