Buck Rogers in the 25th Century 1979-1981

talking about the original Battlestar Galactica on earlier threads and watching and episode on RTN Network today got me thinking how many fans are still out their of the Gil Gerard show

I watched it and remember liking it at the time but I really haven't seen it since and I seem to recall that after the first season it got kinda dumb with weird charcaters like a birdman, etc.
I'm kind of assuming it would be a letdown to watch it now with 2009 eyes and 1970's memories?

Still Erin Gray was very sexy as Wilma Deering...met her briefly at a comic-con a few years ago and she was very nice and still very pretty!

      I hated Twiki though!

I'm pretty sure that's why I watched it and I think I still have a picture of her I cut out of a magazine.
"biddy-biddy-biddy" how can you hate Twiki?
It bothered me he sounded like all the warner brothers cartoon characters.

Buck was a great show ....... (season-1 that is)
It had a lot of good things .....

          1. Lead character who acted like Captain Kirk

          2. Sexy 70's ladies in tight spandex with Farrah doo's

          3. SFX that were at least passable (for the time)

          4. Plenty of reference and nods toward other SCI-FI shows and movies

          5. A generally relaxed atmosphere --

          I could go on forever

I picked up the DVD set when walmart had them marked down to $20 I loved the show as a kid so it was a must have.

I watched a few episodes when I first got it, and they were pretty good, but then I just set them aside, Now over the past few weeks I have started watching them ... Really the show holds up much better than one would think it would. Erin Gray is smoking hot! It's an all around fun show, that I still love I'm glad to say

I have this on DVD, too (when it went down to $20 on Amazon). The first season was fun. The second season they tried to become deep science fiction and failed. I never have had much interest in the Mego line though, either then or now.
                It's all good!

I remember seeing the pilot in the movie theatre, (billed w/ Moonraker), w/ my friend's day camp. I really liked this show. It was funny, adventurous, and action packed. I didn't like the later ones though.

Boy i can't stomach season 2. Even as a kid I remember thinking it was pretty bad. I tried watching one recently and I had no recollection that they changed Twikis voice too amongst all the other changes. Mel Blanc is Twiki!
