Galactica: Season 2?

After all the recent Galactica debates I was feeling a bit nostalgic for the old show and took a spin over to its web-site and found this:

All I can say is I'm glad they cancelled the show before this travesty could be unleashed. Obviously Galactica 80, and even the current Galactica, borrowed a lot from this presentation. Nevertheless, had it aired as Larson intended, the show wouldnt have lasted long into its second season. What were they thinking???


On a side note, I also read that the original sdesign concept for the Viper ended up being used, virtually unchanged, as the Starfighter from Buck Rogers...cool!

as a harcore fan of the original I know all about the proposed second season their were going to be major changes some good some bad they were asking Isaac Asimov to come aboard the write some scripts but after all said and done it was going to be better then Galactica 1980.

Hmmmm....

I don't think it sounds awful.... especially not as bad as Galactica 1980.... but all the changes make for a really typical show. The characters, their relations with each other, even the projected plots are all the ones I've seen on sci-fi shows since the 60's.
