I'm confused as heck too.

I love the show...but this first episode of the final season has me thinking...W T F????????????????????

She blows her brains out, Adama is a raging alcoholic...Starbuck finds her carcass...Cylons are the 13th colony (or 12th, I forgot, lol)...Earth's population has been dead for 2000 years...and on, and on, and on...

So far...not so good...but let's see what happens next before I judge it too harshly.

Yeah I sparred with all my friends in the first 3 seasons telling them the show was solid ( the mini series was awsome and bettter than the old show IMO) after the third season I had to concede and tell them all they were right (and I hate being wrong)

I have enjoyed the series the whole run personally. I don't see how anyone can make a graceful landing with the premise that the show has aways had...You HAVE to let them find Earth in some manner. Like Galactica 1980 was TV Gold...
Like the Sopranos Fade to Black ending really gave closure to their audience. That was like Pick Your Own Adventure. I get the feeling this show will end okay. I don't know if Caprica will hold me though.

glacatica 1980 was tv gold to make fun of - personally I only like the halloween episode and the starbuck one. Space scouts was really bad. And I am a Kent Mccord and Barry van Dyke fan

when you find earth the show is over. Fish out of water stories like Galactica 1980 get old really fast (exceptions in comedy where 3rd rock and Mork an dmIndy made this premise funny for some time) was only good to make fun of even to my 7 year old mind then
