"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
At least we can all agree that the figure does indeed suck mightily. I'm mean they even gave him red hair. Bright red hair. They're not even trying at this point.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
It's not like they've never done Star Trek or Kirk figures before.
I honestly can't fathom how that new one even got approved.

Thats one KRAPPPPPPPPPY figure. The prototypes shown at last years toy fair were built off of the old existing Playmates bodies, so I dont think this can be written off as a prototype...its just bad!
It looks like a European sheep herder wearing his wool knit sweater and rubber boots as he goes out to do whatever it is they do with sheep!
I decided long ago to forgo the 6" and 12" stuff, and may pick up the 3 3/4" figures if the playsets look interesting enough....if they look like this too, I'll stay clear of all the new stuff and stick to EMCE's Megoey goodness!!
