    dunno
but i loved!!! tron when it came out.

i tried to watch it again a year or so ago and other than nostalgia didn't find it very good.

decades later remakes usually = bad

i have low hopes for this

    but ya never know

Well, considering that it sounds like it's a sequel insted of a of a remake and
if the original really wasn't that good bad to begin with----how bad could it be

Sadly,Disney's track record for sequels years after the original was done is not so great.

I guess my point was that it seems many fans of this genre are like
Brue---not too impressed with the original's script to begin with---so how
bad could the sequel be comparitively---especially for those who even
give a fig about a sequel almost three decades later!

it was clever and unique for it's time but it was dated very fast. Computer tech has advanced so far and We have seen SOOO many all blue/green screen CGI films know I am worried about how it will look. the original casting of david Warner was brilliant but could they get as good of a villian (or has he signed on for the sequel)?

ANYONE could replace Bruce Boxlietner (but I'm sure if they offered him the job he took it he'll appear in anything)

I'm sure I'll catch it on Dsiney channel at some point

              Tron 2 the buzz

this what I heard and read so far. I love David Warner great character actor but Jeff Bridges will play Flynn 30 years later and it shows in the teaser the crowd went nuts when he came into the screen and it looks that he has taken the world of Tron and is using it for evil so he is the villian . so you wont need David Warner Back and I also read in a article the only way Bridges would come back is if he would be the villain which makes sense .Bruce Boxlitner is retuning as Tron. remember this film was the first film to ever use CG Back in 1981 for 82 release it was ahead of its time but a flop peaple didnt get it and also it was associated with Disney which didnt help.if you look at the ComicCom teaser on youtube from July you will see where this new story is going.Matrix style CG in the world of Tron in light cycle duel makes even more sense.I dont if Cindy Morgan is coming back I doubt it. I am glad its a continuation set 30 years and the world of Tron and not a reimagined crap. they technically have not started filming still casting the rest of the film will come out in late 2009 or summer 2010

Not just that; but we all know how a computer works now. In the 80's they were mysterious, so the idea of a world inside of one wasn't so.... I guess the term would be unbelievable.

It'd be cooler if it was Jeff Bridges as The Dude inside the freaky Tron world.
