    B-Movie using Classic Battlestar Galactica

I was going through my VHS Collection and Found a used B-movie called Space Mutiny made in 1988. The movie stars Red Brown who also starred in the two Marvel made for TV movies of Captain America. All the exterior space scene are from the classic Battlestar Galactica series. Most of the Action thats place on a ship the looks exactly like the Battlestar Galatica. On the front and back of the box have pictures of the Battlestar Galatica ships. I wonder who they got promission from to use the footage.

You can license that stock footage, Rob sent me a site where movies can rent scenes from Logan's Run and Buck Rogers.

Space Mutiny was obviously filmed in a factory.

There was this disaster movie I saw on Sci-fi that lifted effects shots from Speed and another movie I can't remember. There were scenes that used the elevator blowing apart and the subway derailing.

it might even have been the actual galactica sets. in the commentary for the original series Richard hatch mentions he had been in the studio storage and turned on a classic show scanner and it still worked (WOW good batteries).

They didn't use any Galactica sets, it was all shot in a factory or power plant of some sort.

"Quite possibly the worst Science fiction/space adventure film made in English...Even the horrendously bad "Shape Of Things To Come" (1979) cant aspire to such depths of total putrescence. I speak of the notorious Made-In-South Africa Space Mutiny."

Yeah unless they started using particle wood office desks on the Galacticas bridge or used regular key boards as wall decorations I think they pretty much stayed away from Galacticas sets. They must have been REALLY GOOD batteries.

I seem to recall a really bad b movie that used effects shots from the original Star Wars too.
