Also...who here remembers Golden Bat (Ogon Batto)?

It was not shown in most American markets...but when I lived in Mexico...he was all the rave back in the early 70s...

In Mexico, Golden Bat is known as Fantasmagórico, and as you can see, he still has a bunch of Spanish-speaking fans at youtube...

It Really does. I Love Black and White movies and I'm Especially liking the Special Effects they have in it. I never heard of the Golden Bat before but now I'm very Interested. I just Googled the movie. It Stared Sonny Chiba

Astro Boy.....Watched these toons every morning before the school bus would show up, along with Abbott and Costello, and Mighty Hercules. Grew kinda sick of them after awhile...Now a Rocket robin Hood movie....Well, I'm there!!!

Hmmmm....

I heard some stuff that makes me a bit leary of this one. Astroboy/Mighty Atom is one of them weird things that everyone remembers as a super-cutsey kid show, but had a lot of questionable bits as well. And if you take those out you really diminish the story. And I kinda suspect those are taken out or downplayed. (Although they might leave the machine guns in his butt. Let's see Batman do THAT!)

If you get the chance, the recent translated comics from Dark Horse are pretty good.

Wow. I loved those as a kid too Hector.

I think the guy who created him and so many other fantastic cartoons is a genius, my favourite illustrator. Don't think much of his new costume though.
