I include animation in this list becuase they are scifi animation
5 Starbalzers and Hec is right the Japansese YAMATO theme is AWESOME - so is the mach go go go theme (japenese show speed racer came from)
4 8th Man (another fun japanese scifi cartoon from the 50's)
3 Battlestar galactica (original)
2 Star trek (original)
1 Dr who - yes it is my favorite sci fi show but from a purely techincal standpoint it has to be the top considering what the BBC did pre synthesizer and it still sounds cool and other worldy
