Michelle Forbes was offered the lead female role in Deep Space 9 (she was in a lot of episodes of TNG in a recurring role as Ensign Ro)...she was going to play the same character...she was the first major Bajoran created in the Trek universe...but she turned it down...the next choice turned out to be Nana Visitor as Kira Nerys.

I have to agree with that.
It was torture just trying to get through an hour of it.
Only Trek series, I actually looked up to seeing the commercials
The theme song alone told you, "It's been a long time, getting from THERE to here"
They were talking about how boring each episode was

T'Pol is certainly attractive, but the notion of a sexy Vulcan seemed just..wrong. And way too "we need ratings" for me.

Savik number-2 is a perfect example ...
She was sexy but plain (like a real Vulcan should be)
No tight clothing, no breast enhancements and no overfilled collagen lip enhancements.
She didn't need any of that.... and as a Vulcan, wouldn't want any of that.
Tapol was a joke and an insult to anyone who loves Trek because of what kind of show it is....

I have no problem with a "sexy vulcan".. I mean, why not? Just becuz a race chooses to repress their emotions, that means they can't be beautiful or voluptuous? And I thought Blalock did a very fine of otherwise playing dispassion.
But as far as those nonsense ENT scenes of everyone in their underwear slathering "decontamination gel" on each other... guh.. spare me.Comment
