    Hmmmm....

It's not something I could watch over and over; but it's very entertaining. Kind of a weird mix of the standard plots with some strangeness added. I found the main guy interesting since he's NOT the kind of action hero we get here in N. America.

It is a great concept...however it's almost a wasted concept by the end of the series...it is however an independant show not made or shown on the BBC...it was shown on ITV here...
Agree with ctc here...it was good on it's first run but doesn't really have enough going for repeated viewing...I bought the dvd and to be honest havn't bothered rewatching it yet...nor have the kids..
Series 2 is downhill compared to the first series...I couldn't even be bothered to watch the entire series on broadcast...

I have been watching Primeval every Sunday evening at six on BBC America and I am enjoying the series greatly. Besides enjoying the pre-historic creatures, Hannah Spearritt in her knickers is another reason to watch.

I never got excited about this show but i still watched every episode so it must have had something going for it ( besides Hannah in her knickers ).

I think it's the premise of it's going somewhere keeps you watching with the entire sub-plot of the missing wife....as I say the second series takes a turn for the worse where the whole thing is set in an alternate earth (only minor differences) due to the tampering in the vortexes.
I hope they sort things out for season 3, as although I have lost interest it is still a great idea.

I wanted to love it, liked the concept, but have stopped watching.
              Too many annoying characters.
Loathe the "comic relief" guy (Connor?)
"Oooh, I've messed up things. And again. And again. But ya'll love me, right?"
"So we have a super-rare flying dinosaur in this room? Hmmmm. Let's open up some windows, shall we?
What? He flew out? Who could have guessed?"

Or the blonde girl, that finds it impossible to keep her clothes on. OK, she's a looker, but is that the whole point here?

Again, terrific concept, poor execution. A shame.
