Doctor Who THE TIME MEDDLER my DVD review

As you know, William Hartnell's The Time Meddler was released in region-1 about a week or two ago.
I never seen this story before.

I just finished watching it tonight .......

    GREAT story.
    I highly recommend it.
Sometimes some Hartnell's rub me the wrong way because quiet frankly, I think a lot of them are a bit boring and heavily over-padded with unnecessary subplots.... Not so with the Time Meddler.

The DVD quality itself was quite good.
Quality looks like it came from 16mm film.
Not as good as your average restored 35mm Hartnell, but still very watchable.

    Extra's are quite lousy.
Not even worth mentioning or looking up to.

All in all, a great story (DVD) that I was totally impressed with.

I highly recommend it ... even to people who are not very fond of Hartnell's Doctor.

    Go out and grab it

    Hmmmm....

That's one with the Monk, isn't it? Haven't watched it in a LONG while, but I remember being entertained.

Back in the day, the FASA RPG had said the Monk was actually an early incarnation of the master.

Yeah there was a lot of that Monk/Master speculation...especially as he turns up again in Dalek Masterplan......more of a prerunner though than the Master.
If you liked Time Meddler then War Machines will be out in a couple of months over there...another good Hartnell story...and a prerunner of the Pertwee U.N.I.T. stories in a lot of ways...

One thing that made me laugh while watching it ......

It reminded me of that Robot Chicken sketch "dicks with time machines"
