I had heard most of this years ago hit some new to me details here that I really liked.

I should have put more details here. It basically ties King Kong Godzilla and Frankenstein and the Gargantuas together

I liked that they wanted to go a different way with Frankenstein Monster:
"Giant gray-skinned hairless humanoid-shape monster made of various African megafauna such as elephants and crocodiles"

It lead to King Kong VS Godzilla and Frankenstein vs Baragon

And War of the Gargantuas. Maybe since Kong had fought Frankenstein and Godzilla at some point in the history of this screenplay he had to basically fight as Kong v Kong in the Gargantua movie.
I just thought it was exceedingly cool that were was a direct genetic link to Kong, the original Kaiju.
