They changed the characters personalities, looks and backstories and if that wasn't enough, they made it a musical. Yeah, not for me.

Hopefully new fans will enjoy it.

BF & I just watch the live action movie of Monster High and yes they changed a lot from the original movie. If you look at it like its takes part in the Monster High Multiverse than it works better. There are lots of songs in this movie and some pf them are catchy enough to listen to. It's a fun movie was a 'made for tv movie' type so it fits in like the older Halloween programs of old. Kids may like it better than the adults. My bf is playing the album now on amazon music without the song and dance to get the feel of it, so yeah the younger generation will like it better than older crowd.

Just going to let you know they left it for a sequel so get ready next year...
