I watched half an hour last night, and I think the internet needs to settle down. Someone I know called it "the worst movie ever made" it's not even the worst thing I've seen this week! It looks gorgeous and has a couple of great performances, especially Jorge Garcia and Dan Roebuck (weirdly both from "Lost"). Something is off, but I'll withhold judgment until I see the whole thing. Its heart is in the right place, though—reverence for what came before it is rare these days.

I didn't know it opened theatrically anywhere?

Ok I just watch The Munsters and all I can say is 'meh".

I do not remember seeing their origins so that was different and interesting. I also like that Uncle Gill showed up. I can say I glad I watched this on Netfilx instead of paying to see this at the movies.

It also features Sylvestor McCoy (the 7th Doctor) and Catherine Schell (Maya from Space:1999).

I watched it and there are some moments, but it felt to me like it lost steam as it went, and the pacing got very leaden. I knew the trailer got slammed, but I was holding out hope for the finished product, and I'm sorry it fell so flat.

Well, I think it was worth watching. I think people should give it a try.

Watched the first twenty minutes on Netflix. Seems like the kind of movie which is only funny to the people that made it. Aggressively unfunny, do not watch.

I was using my chronovisor again. I forget that not everyone has access to one.

Definitely! He would have done a great job.

I thought it was a pretty fun movie. I wish it would have been in black and white, though.
