^^Don't you think that's a cop out? "It's based on a comic book so of course it's stupid."? I get that they're trying to follow the source material, but there's no way that even 1/3 of the series fans have ever read the comics.
I can accept a "zombie apocalypse" because if you buy the premise, you buy the bit. It's done in a way that feels real. Now a tiger, on the other hand, that knows the bad guys from the good guys and which ones to attack *even in a zombie apocalypse* I can't buy. Rick preaching that there's one main guy to kill and then when 30+ people evidentally all have a clear shot at him and no one takes it I also can't buy. It may work in the comics, but it doesn't work in live action, and I don't think it would take much to tweak the live action so it WOULD work... but they didn't.
I'm still watching because they've had bad seasons before, like the one where Carol's daughter was missing, and have come back... I just don't think it's going to happen this time.

I wish I could still watch shows without questioning them. I overheard a conversation recently about WD and this woman just LOVED everything that happened last season and couldn't wait for the premiere of the new one. She loved/hated Negan, loved when the tiger attacked all the bad guys, couldn't wait for Michonne and Maggie to take charge... She was really into it. Everything she mentioned as positives for her were negatives for me. I was kind of jealous.
If you are a fan of the books then you should really enjoy the show now if a casual fan of the “tv series” then obviously opinions will be different.
I just find it really, really funny when people complain about how stupid and fake a situation is that comes up in the show when it based on a “comic book zombie apocalypse” ....lolLeave a comment:

It’s a tv series based off of a comic book ,
based in a world about Zombies( wait zombies don’t exist here they are walkers )...lol
I’m still loving it,I don’t take it seriously and for farsical I still watch Z nation.
You can never have too much zombies!!!.....Ever!!!Leave a comment:

^ I agree, which is why I wish Walking Dead featured the zombies more heavily. They are background cattle now.Leave a comment:

Never thought it would come to this but i'm very sick of the entire Zombie genre.
There really isn't much zombie-related that could entertain me anymore.
It's like Star Wars --- in the late 80's early 90's we were starving for more --- and today we're drowning in it.
Before the zombie genre dies a long rotting death i'd like to see a fun Zombieland 2 then I can happily let it go.Leave a comment:

I'm waiting for the Musical episode. When a show runs out of steam, they usually do an episode with songs and dancing...Leave a comment:

The way they've played out the Negan stuff is actually kind of insulting to the audience. There have been multiple opportunities to take him out, but to no avail. And yeah, I get the whole, "I am Negan," thing. But I highly doubt that if they killed Negan that any of his lackeys would take up his mantle.Leave a comment:

What an idiotic end scene that was. The priest had the high-powered weapon...and Negan had his one-liners...yet it’s the priest who is shlattin’ his pants...

Yes, I saw some bad CGI too, the aforementioned explosions, but also a helicopter shot of the horde of zombies, with their shadows all cast in different directions. Weird.
Either they're making it painfully obvious, or they're trying to fake us out... this is Andrew Lincoln's last season. How many times did he metaphorically state, "It's not about me". Plus the way they are grooming Carl and Maggie to lead after this crisis ends.
I don't know exactly what I want from this show anymore, but I'm not feeling satisfied. There just isn't any gratification, just more treading water. I too would be fine if they end it this year or next.Leave a comment:

^^ Hahaha!, I actually thought the CGI throughout the season premiere was subpar even by WD standards… the explosions were terrible as was the flying and falling walkers.
Agreed, this would be a good time to wrap the show up. Negan as a prisoner in 2018? How lame! That would just be awful given the already overly-botched interactions with him across the past year.
As for Talking Dead after-event… what a egregious mess (even the cast were aping it up) starring Gimple and Nicotero. Only Kirkman seems to press tongue firmly in cheek at this point.Leave a comment:

Yeah, I agree that this has run it's course. The flash forward scenes seem to be setting up some kind of closure.
I've been somewhat bored with the whole thing for a couple of seasons now. For as much as I'm willing to accept, the stupid CGI tiger is just too ridiculous for me. The only thing it hasn't done yet is say "They're Great!!"Leave a comment:

I think you're sorta, kinda gonna get your wish. It's the last for Reedus and Lincoln as they're only signed through s9. It's just not being publicized. You can see the writing on the wall in the premiere ep. Carl and Maggie being setup as the next leaders. Rick's vacillating reality.
For s10, we're going to get Prisoner Negan acting as Carl's mirrorverse Evil Rick. I'm presuming they're dragging Kim Dickens over from FTWD to give Carl and Madison a mom/son dynamic since she's as fleshed out as Rick.Leave a comment:
