What is the Wolfman's motivation and agenda ?

Was watching an episode of Night Stalker last night (The Werewolf) and it struck me how his motivation and agenda was pretty well aimless.

He jumped on a few people, suplexed a few - and fought with a few.

After the "carnage" we find the people were mostly torn apart.

My question is why ?

It don't seem like your average run of the mill wolfman is eating people (not counting American Werewolf which alluded to that)

So what's his motivation ?

The constant itching has driven him insane, causing him to go berserk.

Alas, a simple tube of lotion could have saved so many lives.

It's implied that the classic Universal Wolf Man, Larry Talbot, tears the jugulars out of victims' throats. So you could argue he's consuming flesh and blood.

But I've always assumed part of the werewolf curse is just bloodlust. Just the need to kill whatever it sees.

I think he just succumbs to animal ferocity and bloodlust. That is the curse, rather than the fangs and hair.
I got that a lot from Chaney's Talbot. If there is an agenda, its on the part of the cursed, trying to find help or death.
